Program Requirements

You are expected to complete the following program requirements:

  • Attend the MESA program orientation(s).
  • Be an active member of MESA by participating in as many MESA activities/workshops as possible.
  • Attend a minimum of 3 Academic Excellence Workshops (AEWs) per semester.
  • Submit a MESA Student Education Plan.
  • Meet with the MESA Counselor at least once each fall and spring semester.
  • Apply to at least one scholarship or summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)/Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) per year.
